The health, safety and well-being of our residents and staff is our top priority at St. Michael’s Health Group. We are following the lead of Alberta Health, AHS and the Chief Medical Officer at this important time. All appropriate measures are being taken to ensure our sites are safe and we will maintain these additional protocols as long as necessary.
St. Michael’s staff have been working hard to keep our residents safe and healthy. The increased precautions were accepted in stride as they all are putting in maximum effort to care for residents and ease the worry of families.
We are actively monitoring and screening our residents to determine if they are showing any of the COVID-19 related symptoms. Family visitation and other non-essential visits at our facilities are not allowed, with the exception of families who are contacted directly by us for specific reasons. We are screening all staff and essential workers who enter our sites as per the guidelines provided by Alberta Health Services.
We understand this is a difficult time for residents and families. With curtailed visitation, we are establishing access to Skype, Facetime or Messenger for residents and families to communicate. Staff will be assisting residents. Families can complete the ‘Family Resident Connection’ form and email it to email@example.com to schedule connection time with your loved one.
Moving forward, we will continue to share information and provide updates as available. Check back to this website regularly.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we all work through this pandemic together. Stay safe!
