Strategic Plan 2022-2025

We are excited to share our 2022- 2025 Strategic Plan, setting an exciting course for our future.

The purpose of the plan is to provide strategic, operational, and financial priorities to guide St. Michael’s over the next three years. The 2022-2025 Strategic Plan was developed through the collaborative efforts of the SMHG Board of Directors, Governance Committee, Executive & Leadership Team, and community feedback.

The plan draws upon our Mission – Care with Love & Dignity, and lays the groundwork for an ambitious future all while remaining dedicated to upholding our core values.

We have identified five priority areas, which support our continued growth and development and will foster a strong sense of community. They build on our strengths and strong legacy while remaining committed to being a leader in continuing care.

We continue to focus on person-centered care by putting our residents and their families at the heart of everything we do, working with all stakeholders to improve care, and empowering our people by providing growth opportunities and celebrating their dedication. This plan leads us into the future by building on our past successes, acknowledging the challenges we face, and taking advantage of the opportunities presented.

Each year St. Michael’s leadership objectives include the task of ensuring sustainability of our efforts. Dedication to this effort isn’t a ‘once in a while’ option. Quality factors of our work are reviewed and measured through satisfaction surveys, committee work, and public scrutiny. We are held to vigorous standards and regulations by our Provincial Government, and are publicly accountable to our families, funders, supporters, and benefactors. As a charitable society, we respect our resources and the allocations therein. This challenges us to use these resources with diligence and understanding of change. Each annual report discusses how we met or exceeded our clients’ and our expectations.
